I AM... LOVE 360

I have taken some words from my husband that he has written and added them here to my blog. November 1, 2008, San Francisco.... Free Event is being held called...

I AM...LOVE 360

A few minutes of your time if I may. Please view the video link below. This is a ministry that my husband and I have been highly privileged to become a part of. It is an amazing outreach to the city of San Francisco in the Tenderloin district. Nothing like this has ever been done there. There are 35,000 people in a one-square mile area here. Another 8,000-10,000 transients pass through these specific 35 city blocks daily... A total of about 45,000 folks in this area of SF alone. 3,000 kids that don’t go to school. Just virtually two blocks from SF City Hall. This is an all-day outreach on Nov 1st to the homeless, the drug addicts, prostitutes, the homosexuals, and every other walk of life. We are expecting MANY other people drawn-in for this event from the rest of the city. The numbers calculated conservatively speaking, are staggering and well into 5 figures of attendance. We will be passing out lunches, clothes, blankets, etc to meet these people’s needs right where they are. It’s what the church is supposed to do! I am also humbled & pleased to report that ‘Missing Piece’ will be part of this ministry outreach, along with some other very special talented people at this one-day event. This will be an act of Godly LOVE, as the body of Christ reaches out as Jesus did. There will be NO picket signs allowed, no protesting by any church or religious group. These people need love, not condemnation. As Jesus said: “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.” So here we go. What an opportunity to serve!

Pogo Comes Home

Pogo was first sighted at Animal Kingdom in Pismo Beach, CA.

He was that cute little puppy in the window. I couldn't resist his charm, he was doing backward flips behind the class area he was in.

I didn't want a boy dog, not at all, but I did it I held him and fell in love with him.

So I had to do the right thing and put him in Randy's arms. Yes, that would do the trick, that little puppy will break his heart.

Well not yet. Let's go out for breakfast and think about it. But, but I said, "he might not be there". Hm, I heard a saying once a way to a man's heart is through is stomach. Well, lets see how this works out.

But he was, the puppy was still there, and I ran and grabbed the gal and hurried her over to the puppy. Oh boy! Just in time, I beat her to the puppy. Another lady was getting someone to get that puppy. I had that puppy in my hands and no one was going to get him. He's all mine.

So Pogo came home with his new mommy and daddy that day. Which is now five years ago on Feb. 14th. Happy Valentine's Day dear... My hubby loves me.
